Our research is directed toward testing investigational treatments for rheumatic diseases, especially new biologic agents for rheumatoid arthritis. Agents we have studied include anakinra, adalimumab, and a monoclonal antibody to the C5 component of the complement pathway. Monoclonal antibodies to leukocytes integrins and tacrolimus will also be studied in rheumatoid arthritis. We are also involved in the Immune Tolerance Network study of a monoclonal anti-leukocyte antibody for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis.
