Dr. Gutierrez’s main area of interest is imaging of diseases of the thorax. Conventional radiographic techniques (such as plain films and angiography) are very important in the work-up of diseases of the heart and lungs. The application of cross-sectional imaging such as CT and MRI to complement and, in many cases, to replace the traditional techniques has been an area of particular interest.
