A fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow surgeon, Dr. Galatz has clinical interests in traumatic and degenerative disorders of the shoulder and elbow with special interests in rotator cuff disorders, arthroscopic surgery, upper extremity fractures, shoulder instability and prosthetic replacements. Her research interests are in muscle degeneration, rotator cuff disease and disorders and bone to tendon healing, elbow mechanics and clinical outcome studies. She currently has studies underway to compare molecular and mechanical changes in the healing of tendon to bone.
