Immunogical Mechanisms of Transplant Rejection

Shalini Shenoy, M.D.

DEPARTMENT OF Pediatrics
Keywords: autoimmunity, bone marrow transplant, graft vs. host disease

Dr. Shenoy's research interests are focused on transplantation biology and the immunologic mechanisms of graft rejection, graft vs. host disease (GvHD) and immune reconstitution following bone marrow transplantation (BMT). Another area of investigation pursued by Dr. Shenoy is the mechanism of T cell deletion and the role of Fas-Fas ligand in GvHD and autoimmune disease.

Dr. Shenoy's clinical research is focused on developing safe and effective non-myeloablative conditioning regimen in stem cell transplantation, especially as it relates to metabolic and non-malignant disorders.
