Dr. Lopate is involved in both clinical and basic science studies of neuromuscular disease and also sees patients in the Neuromuscular Disease Clinic and in the Electrodiagnostic Lab. Clinical research interests include participation as an investigator in several ALS drug trials, natural history studies of limb-girdle muscular dystrophy and Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy as well as participation in a recently completed drug trial for patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
